Job Description:

The Loss Prevention Agent has the responsibility for the security of the Resort guests, employees, and their property, and for reporting unusual circumstances or problems. He/She is also responsible for the duties related to the operation of the Security department.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience/training. Security or law enforcement experience preferred. First Aid and CPR training preferred. Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer is required. Ability to effectively communicate in the English language - required Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Completing daily activity logs and Incident reports. Assisting with any emergency situation according to established procedures. Reporting any maintenance problem to the proper personnel to repair. Making sound judgmental decisions concerning potential or apparent breaches of security. Responding to and investigating reported property damage. Maintaining the confidentiality of all Security department reports. Responding to and investigating all guest and employee injuries and completing related reports. Patrolling the property and monitoring CCTV equipment. Maintaining an accurate log of all employee transactions involving radios, keys, phones, and various tools. Programming, interrogating, and performing maintenance on the Saflok system. Logging, securing, and preparing Lost & Found for shipping. Maintaining a good working relationship with all Departments. Maintaining the highest level of employee/guest relations.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to work any assigned shift/work schedule. Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Management.

ENVIRONMENT: Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Good ventilation with artificial lighting. Outdoors, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and sitting.
  • Occasional crouching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent manual dexterity of hands and gross motor skills; constant vision and hearing.
